We wrote this one during the COVID pandemic as a way of processing some of the inevitable ups and downs in mental health that we and many others were experiencing.

We hope that sharing it will have some kind of small, positive impact on talking about mental health. Life is funny and unexpectedly hard at times but, as with the ebb and flow of things, we are firm believers that things can and will get better with time.

Also super honoured to have our good friend and amazing singer-songwriter Joe Ramsey involved! He’s laid down some cracking vocal parts and is an all-round legend of a human being 💚❤️

Much love to y’all.

Lyrics:

I don’t know the place where I come from
I don’t recognise where I belong
Imposter’s clothes, my voice exposed
Standing on the edge, man that train’s too close

Stand back and talk to me, talk to me

In your eyes, I see myself
Comparing lives with everyone else’s
The earth vibrates, the anger grows
The lights feel brighter, the whistle blows

Stand back and talk to me, talk to me

I could be your friend, I could be your shoulder to cry on,
I could be your voice of reason, a small hope to believe in

Stand back and talk to me, talk to me
